I've been making games for... well, all my life really, but professionally for over 20 years. The type of games I've worked on and my role have shifted throughout my career, but I've always stayed rooted in gaming. I've been programmer, designer, publisher, and more.
If you want to know more about me and how I got here, please read on. If not, click here to jump to the "what can I do for you" part.
I'm originally from the Philadelphia area but I now live in southern California with my wife Sarah and two dogs, Maui (brown) and Auggie.
How Did I Get Here?
Like many in the games industry, my path was not a straight line. Here's a rough account for those who are curious.
- 1999: Off to Penn Statue University, certain I would be an architect
- 2000: Not going to be an architect, shifted to digital design. âĪïļ Love of Flash begins
- 2003: College done, work for a web design company making Flash games, websites, and online courseware/tools.
- 2005: Quit my job, started my own business making Flash games and websites for hire. Business is good.
- 2007: A client from LA convinces me to go full time with them, making games for companies like the NFL, Cabbage Patch Kids, Power Rangers, and other big brands.
- 2009: Move to LA to work in-person with Brandissimo! (the above client)
- 2011: Left B! - joined a healthcare company, of all things, building games, training tools, and apps. Still mostly Flash, but it's got one foot in the ðŠĶ
- 2016: Joined Armor Games Studios and helped build a publisher from the ground up alongside kind, wonderful people. Supported dozens of indie developers. We go on to launch 40-50 games on every platform under the sun.
- 2023: It's time to move on. I've learned a lot about shipping games but indies are still in the dark in many ways. ðĪ I can help...

What Can I Do For You?
With two decades of game development experience, a third of which was at an indie publisher I've seen and been through plenty in this industry. Where devs tend to find me most helpful is in the following areas:
- Pitch deck review
- Questions about working with publishers or the industry at large
- Game feedback (recorded, live, and/or written)
- Production and team management consulting
If you don't find what you're looking for on this site or my channel, please have a look at my consultancy options. I'll be happy to help.
